Food Graphic Design and Packaging Agency
Food graphic design translates a food brand's values into a visual system capable of engaging the consumer's senses, standing out on the shelf and guiding the purchase decision.
Erbacipollina is Italy's first food graphic design agency. Since 2010 we've designed graphics for Food & Beverage companies, understanding food's visual codes, the logic of the physical and digital shelf, and buyer expectations.
Our starting point is Food Sensitivity, the feel for food built by working inside the industry. It's what lets us turn what makes a product unique into a recognizable, relevant visual identity.

In summary
- What we do, we design the entire visual identity of a food brand — the logo, packaging, point-of-sale and trade-show materials.
- How we work, first positioning, competitor and target analysis, then the visual design.
- Method, Food Sensitivity and food's visual codes, with positioning analysis and neuromarketing applied to logo, packaging and materials.
- Who it's for, large agri-food companies that want to stand out on the shelf and support their sales network.

Our Food Graphics and Food Marketing Design Services
Artistic intuition alone isn't enough to sell. Behind every food marketing design project there's analysis that comes before the mark-making.
We study the brand's positioning, competitors and who chooses the product. Only then do we design the visual elements that increase brand awareness and contribute to sales.
(Scope)
Brand Identity, Logo and Food Graphic Design for Food Brands
A food brand's visual identity tells the story of its heritage, craftsmanship or drive to innovate.
Food graphic design codifies these elements into a coherent visual system.
The foundation is food brand identity and food logo design, the mark that identifies the brand at a glance.
From there the system extends to catalogs, folders, leaflets, below-the-line materials and trade-show stand graphics, always with the same visual voice.
(Packaging)
Packaging Design and Food Design Agency for the Point of Sale
Packaging is the main point of contact between the brand and the consumer. That's where most of the purchase decision happens, on the supermarket shelf as much as on an e-commerce store's digital shelf.
That's why food packaging design combines strategic color choices, neuromarketing and carefully studied materials to build a recognizable visual and tactile experience.
Every pack also stays compliant with food labeling and presentation regulations, because visual impact means nothing if the label doesn't hold up.
(Materials)
Materials for Trade, Sales Teams and Trade Shows
Food graphics don't stop at packaging. They support the sales team and dialogue with distribution through catalogs, company profiles, folders and commercial materials designed to present products and lines.
The same visual system is then applied to trade-show stands, POP materials and advertising campaigns, to ensure consistent communication toward buyers, distributors and consumers.
(Why us)
Why choose a specialized food graphic design agency?
Generalist agencies know how to design, but they may not understand retail-shelf dynamics or the levers that push a buyer to list a product.
At Erbacipollina, our specialized food graphic designers work alongside food marketing professionals, staying up to date on consumption trends, materials and neuromarketing techniques.
Every project combines visual impact with compliance with food-industry regulations.
A food graphic design project with Erbacipollina leaves you with concrete assets:
- The logo and the coordinated visual identity system.
- Packaging design and product labels.
- Catalogs, folders, leaflets and the company profile.
- POP materials.
- Trade-show stand graphics.
- Consumer and trade advertising campaigns.
- Visual guidelines to keep everything consistent over time.
(Projects)
Four projects that speak for us
For Patarò we built the identity from scratch, from the logo restyling to the new pack system, then catalogs, company profile, trade-show stand, consumer and trade ad pages, and below-the-line materials.
For Melegatti we led the restyling of the "Melegatti 1894" logo and the entire holiday line, working with the brand's historic blue and gold, the 125th-anniversary seal and the Christmas catalog.
For Essse Caffè we handled the logo rebranding, lightening the "s", a verticalized lettering and the new payoff. Then the restyling of all HoReCa and consumer lines with a premium feel.
For Pfanner we redesigned the Mela Classica juice packaging and created the design for the two new variants, Mela Delicata and Mela Intensa, shaping the "Famiglia Mela" line.
You can find our other work in our portfolio.

Frequently asked questions
What does a food design and graphic design agency do?
It designs everything that gives visual shape to a food brand — brand identity, logo, packaging, online and offline communication materials. The goal is to set the product apart from competitors and support its sales.
What tools does a food graphic designer use to showcase a product?
They use the industry's visual codes, neuromarketing techniques, the study of the most effective colors and material research. They apply this expertise to logos, packaging, advertising, company catalogs and trade-show graphics.
What's the difference between food graphic design and packaging design?
Food graphic design is the brand's overall visual system — the logo and every material. Packaging design applies those principles to the pack. Packaging is one of graphic design's tools, not a substitute for it.
Why does food graphics affect sales?
Because on the shelf, the purchase decision happens in seconds. Graphics built on the category's codes and the brand's identity make the product recognizable, set it apart from competitors and support its price positioning.
How much does a food marketing design project cost?
It depends on the complexity — a brand identity restyling, the launch of a new packaging line, ongoing promotional materials. Erbacipollina structures tailored projects, with full transparency from the quote stage.
